Eligibility
- 1st of the month following 59 days of employment, as long as you are working 30+ hours week.
- Upon eligibility, you will be sent a link to the benefits portal to complete the enrollment process.
- You will have 2 weeks to enroll or waive coverage. *
* If you do not enroll or waive your coverage, you will be automatically enrolled in the base MEC Plan.

Open Enrollment
During the open enrollment period, you will have the opportunity to add, drop or change your benefits. During open enrollment, don’t assume that plans will be the same as the previous year. Policies, plans and pricing can change, so please review your selections carefully prior to re-enrollment. Open enrollment is in November / December and you will be notified.
Changes to Existing Benefits
You can make changes to your existing benefits after a qualifying life event or during annual open enrollment.
Examples of qualifying life events:
- Marriage
- Divorce
- Birth of a Family Member
- Death of a Family Member
- Adoption of a Child
Please note that you will be required to submit approved legal documentation to your Benefit Administrator of your life event to change your benefits.
